Welcome

The Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases (ASID) is the peak professional body for infectious diseases and clinical microbiology in Australasia.

Our purpose is “Advancing prevention, diagnosis and care of infectious diseases through education, research and advocacy.”

The New Zealand ASID Annual Scientific Meeting is the peak meeting for adult and paediatric infectious disease and clinical microbiology specialists in New Zealand and provides an opportunity for our New Zealand community to come together and share experiences and grow our network.

We are excited to host this meeting in Wellington and hope all attendees will enjoy the hospitality Wellington has to offer.

Program Overview

The 2025 New Zealand ASID Annual Scientific Meeting will be focussed on our theme of national collaboration. We are a small but proud workforce, operating in times of change and we see this meeting as a fantastic opportunity to share, learn and prioritise the future of infection services in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This meeting will have broad appeal for specialists and trainees working in Infectious Diseases, Clinical Microbiology, Antimicrobial stewardship, Infection Prevention, and Public health

Come with ideas and innovations and be prepared to contribute to interesting discussions!
