Conference Overview

The Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases (ASID) is the peak professional body for infectious diseases and clinical microbiology in Australasia.

Our purpose is “Advancing prevention, diagnosis and care of infectious diseases through advocacy, education and research.”

This conference brings us together as a whole organisation representing our different disciplines and interests, we are able to develop an exciting program focused on being pandemic prepared and reviewing the current developments in respiratory diseases and how we are going to manage the changing disease environment.   

The Symposium will be a multi-disciplinary meeting bringing together all areas of infectious disease from public health, One Health, therapeutics, vaccines, surveillance and pandemic preparedness.

Theme

The theme for the event is Respiratory Resilience: One Health Approaches to Tackling Emerging Infectious Threats. The program will focus on a variety of topics across human and animal health and bring together all special interest areas in infectious disease management.
